We are off to a great start in our effort to maintain a clear status for the school. The overall attendance goal of 95% is what Allentown needs to achieve to reach Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) as defined by the No Child Left Behind Act. We are proud to report that we exceeded this goal and thanks to your diligence we reached a 96.06% attendance rate for the first quarter - even with the outbreak of flu! Your dedication and consistency are appreciated and you are encouraged to continue this effort throughout second quarter as well.

Another goal we must reach is student performance on End of the Quarter Tests (EQT). To meet this standard, students must score 70% or higher on tests in the areas of Math and Reading (and in Science for fourth and fifth grades). The results for the first quarter test are reported below. The following is a list of how many students in each grade level scored 70% or higher:
